Fairtrade

Wednesday 27th February, 2.30-4.30pm, Fairtrade Teaparty at Foulsyke, Nether Wasdale,

Fairtrade Stall, Video and Quiz. Entrance including tea and cakes £2. Come and support Fairtrade and help the poor to work their way out of poverty.

Monday 3rd March, 7.30pm, 1st Anniversary Celebration of Fairtrade Status and launch of a Fairtrade & Local Produce Directory at Gosforth Public Hall.

Talk, Fairtrade Stall and Raffle with Puddings, Fairtrade wine & fruit juices.

Entry free - all welcome.

Muncaster Microbus are a registered charity and limited company run b

y a group of unpaid volunteers servicing Wasdale, Eskdale, Muncaster and Ravenglass

The vehicle used is an Iveco minibus with 15 seats or 12 seats and two wheelchairs.

Currently they run regular weekly shopping trips to Whitehaven on Tuesdays and Thursdays and day trips every other Saturday throughout the year. On one Wednesday in each month there is a trip to Workington or Cockermouth

First Responders are a group of dedicated volunteer members of a community who have banded together to be trained by the Cumbria Ambulance Service in basic life saving skills

The First Responder Gosforth district has equipment in Calderbridge, Wasdale Head, Nether Wasdale, Boot, Eskdale, Ravenglass, Drigg, Seascale and Gosforth and is Headand isanfully supported by the Cumbria Ambulance service.
